This page gives Chrome Web Store reviewers and RentVerge users a plain-language explanation of why the extension accesses certain page and service data.
Single purpose
RentVerge’s single purpose is to help users analyze vehicle-rental opportunities by turning information on Turo search and listing pages that the user chooses to scan into useful market and opportunity metrics.
Why RentVerge needs Turo page access
The extension must read relevant content on Turo pages in order to extract the listing information required for the user-requested scan and calculations. This access supports the visible feature the user started; it is not used to track unrelated browsing.
Account and backend communication
RentVerge may communicate with RentVerge-owned backend services to authenticate an account, confirm plan or license status, enforce usage limits, retrieve product configuration or market-value data, and support the requested analysis.
Browser storage
Chrome storage may be used to remember extension settings, authentication or license state, scan state, and local results needed for normal operation.
What RentVerge does not seek
- Passwords for Turo or other websites.
- Full payment-card numbers.
- Private messages or email content unrelated to RentVerge.
- Unrelated browsing history for advertising or profiling.
- Personal data for sale to data brokers or advertising networks.
Limited Use commitment
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. RentVerge uses accessed data only for its disclosed user-facing purpose and necessary operational functions such as security, reliability, support, and abuse prevention.
